PAT MEYERS

Pat was a Founder of the MWGA and has been a dedicated member since 1986. She served on the Board of Directors for 7 years. She was the tournament Director of the Spring Scramble for 5 years and managed the “Pick-a- Pro” Contest for 14 years. She was a course rater for the GAM for 18 years. She was a member of the Women’s Suburban Golf Association for 14 years serving as President for 4 years. She was a member of the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association for 16 years and served as Board Secretary and GAM Club Representative for 3 years. She is a member of the Birmingham Senior Center Planning Committee for the Annual Golf Classic since 2016. More importantly she has been a generous financial supporter of the MWGA and was the Presenting Sponsor of the 30th Anniversary Celebration. She also supports the Michigan Golf Foundation, Golf Association of Michigan Foundation, the LPGA Foundation, the U of M Women’s Golf Team, the MSU Women’s Golf Team and USGA Junior Golf.

JEANNE MYERS

Jeanne Myers, well-known and appreciated for her Rules Rug Presentation, has a very impressive list of accomplishments not only in MI but also throughout the USA and internationally. She was inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the GAM Distinguished Service Award in 2018.

#  48 USGA Championship Rules Official including 13 US Women’s Opens and 3 US Men’s Opens

#  USGA Women’s Committee Chair 2003-2004

#  USGA Women’s Handicap Procedure Committee Chair 1993-1998

     Authored the Equitable Stroke Control Procedure

#  Women’s World Amateur Team Championship Captain 2006

DEBBIE WILLIAMS-HOAK

Debbie is the Golf Academy Director at Brookside Golf Club in Saline and current instructor of the MWGA and AAWGA LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Programs. Before turning a golf professional, she was an elite Olympic javelin thrower for the U of M. She won the MWGA State Championship in 1992 and was a two-time Michigan Women’s Amateur Champion. She qualified for seven US National Championships. She won the Michigan Women’s Open and twice lost in playoffs on the LPGA Symetra Tour. Debbie coaches the boys and girls golf teams at Saline High School and has been named Michigan High School Golf Coach of the Year 3 times. She received the LPGA Sandy LaBauve Spirit Award for the top LPGA teaching professional in the LPGA Girls Golf Program. Debbie was inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in June 2018.
